Yes. I noticed and posted this not too long ago, too, but got no

If I have some deleted messages in my inbox and I select all (ctrl-a)
and apply filters (ctrl-y), not only do the filters get applied, but the

Is there any chance to start the fetching of mails (downloading and
filtering) without running evolution? I want to create a script which

Very very similar, except that in preview pane mode. If I delete a file
in a thread the whole thread seems to move down the sort order, which
then means when I reach the end of the thread I move to a different
thread, rather than the one I expected.

That's exactly how fetchmail works.
You then get evolution to look at the users mbox.

I am having trouble with Vfolders. I understood that Unmatched Vfolder
would, by default, hold all messages that did not fit into other
Vfolders.

This has bothered me since threading was implemented way back. What
seems to happen when using the preview pane is that every time a mail is
deleted, the whole list is resorted so that the thread that you are
viewing is placed wherever the next mail in the thread currently sits in
the sort order.
I recently switched from using KMail to Evolution and have been pleased
with the switch.
