Hello,
My $HOME dir is placed on file server and growing mbox files under the
evolution/local subdirs reduce limited disk space.
Can I use some kind of compression on mbox files or move them to a
different location on my private partitions ?

The reason I'm asking on this list is that I know there are some who
have mentioned previously doing this. I've been researching for a while
now, and I still have a lot of questions, so I was wondering if someone
could give me some pointers, links to a HOWTO, etc. I'm having a hard
time finding

Hello!
Short version: I needed to update some Ximian packages. I did. It works.
I'm blind-copying evolution-hackers on the off-chance that someone
wishes to fix the dependency problem; it's probably not important enough
to merit the time, tho.

Danw and I agreed that if we were to implement this, we'd probably use
the Importance: header as X- anything headerscould have anything in them
(plus they are non-standard, hence the X- prefix). We'd probably also do
whatever needed to be done in order to be compatable with Outlook I
guess.

When I sync my palm, everything appears to be fine on the screen (it
says syncing ECalendar, EAddress, ETodo, etc.) but afterward, none of

I was only aware of X-MS-Priority for Outlook and X-Priority for
Netscape/Mozilla - what is the other Microsoft priority header? Or does
it use X-Priority too? And if so, is it compatable with Netscape's
X-Priority format?

There seem to be quite a few varieties of communication problems on this
list. One issue is that you have to remember that this is the
"commercial" variety of open source as Ximian is selling professional
tech support for a product--I'm not saying this is good or bad, just
that expectations have

I've noticed that reminders created while setting up an event/meeting in
the calender do not carry over into the meeting request sent to other
Evolution users.

suppose, and I'm not sure how Outlook/Exchange handles this (assuming

Consider this a micro-howto of sorts.
NOTE: This does NOT do anything for sending, only for viewing received
mails.
If you want to see if an incoming message has a high or low priority (as
set by Outlook, Outlook Express, Kmail, and Netscape/Mozilla - which all
set X-Priority); all you need
