did you check the gtkhtml font settings? they are separate from the
main gnome settings.

Thanks for the reply.
I have tested every single font which is available in
Preferences->Control Center->Fonts. No difference. Even I removed the
language that I had added, nothing.
Is there any setting inside Evolution to handle the fonts in the Preview
Pane and the other part of application ?

You probably need to pick a font that works for your setup.
go to the GNOME Control Centre and change it.

I first found scripts such as save_all_attachments and mimedump but they
were not working (missing dependencies).
I then found a nice utility called ripmime.

Situation:
Mandrake 8.1 (running Xft), Evolution 1.0.8, VNC 3.3.3 (server) VNC
3.3.2 (client).
Symptom:
Titlebar/menu fonts appear as boxes, editing window did not appear at
all for new mail.
