[Evolution] Can a perl program change a mbox when using file-locking

I am a moderator for another newsgroup. I would like to write a perl-script to automate some tasks. The perl-script would not only read, but also update the mbox. Is this possible with evolution running, or should I disconnect evolution before writing to a mbox?

[Evolution] Problem with mailto link in Galeon

As far as I know I have done everything to use a mailto link from Galeon to Evolution. But when I click a mailto link I get the following error: evolution-shell-WARNING **: CORBA exception IDL:GNOME/Evolution/Shell/InvalidURI:1.0 when requesting URI -- What is going wrong?

Unless replying the default from address is always the main account. In Eudora I could make that if I would send from a certain mailfolder, that the email got a different sender. I can not find this in Evolution. Are I overlooking something? ___
