I'm running an OpenLDAP service (2.0.25) on a FreeBSD 4.7 server, and
connecting to it with Evolution 1.2.0 on a Linux workstation
(Debian/unstable). I've added Evolution's schema to slapd.conf on the
server:
include /usr/local/etc/openldap/schema/evolutionperson.schema
and can use Evolution's

Redhat Linux 7.2 server from another Redhat Linux 7.2 client. A few tips
from Kirk Strauser (thanks!) got me started.
I can connect using various clients, including Evolution v1.2.1. I can
drag and drop Contacts from my local fold

just goes to show I shouldn't be writing email late at night after

on RH72 this was found at /usr/share/evolution/evolutionperson.schema, or a
quick:

will find it.
