David, Ubuntu 15.10 is well-behaved even with older hardware. Weekend before last, I upgraded a 2007 model hp/compaq dx2200 from 15.04 to 32-bit version of 15.10. Everything worked perfectly, including evolution 3.16.5. Just make sure you have everything backed up (e.g. disk image as well as evo
