Design and apply basic data sources. Apply effective programming security practices. Execute test plans. Develop conversion and system implementation plans and regularly create and execute unit tests. Employ source code control techniques. Assist with successful configuration management. Gather and analyze data to prepare system and programming documentation. Assist with implementation of changes in development, maintenance and system standards and in the creation of software specifications. Regularly report progress on projects. Demonstrated ability to follow software specifications. *Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:* Knowledge of secure software development. Intermediate skills associated with the design, development, modification and deployment of software, including object-oriented programming concepts. Demonstrated testing and test planning skills. Experience with common programming tools. Demonstrated ability to follow software specifications. Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel at various levels within IT. Demonstrated problem solving skills. Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills. Self-motivated and works independently and as part of a team. Able to learn effectively and meet deadlines. Work under general supervision with few direct instructions. Java Technologies: Core Java, J2EE (JSP, Servlets,), Spring Web, Spring MVC, Spring Webservices (SOAP/REST). Web/Application Servers: Apache Tomcat, Web Sphere.
