Location: Columbia, SC Duration: 12+ months Rate: Open Skills Needed: . Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology related field a plus . Industry Certifications a plus such as: Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE) or Microsoft Certified System Administrator (MCSA); CompTIA Network+. . Minimum of 5 to 7 years' experience as an Administrator on a medium sized network of servers, desktop systems, and communications devices using current technologies. . Experience directly related to deploying, building, designing, optimizing, and maintaining Microsoft products such as: Windows Server 2003/2008/2008 R2/2012; Active Directory, GPO; DHCP, DNS; Microsoft Exchange Server; Updates/Upgrades/Patching; IIS. . Demonstrated experience of Switches, Routers and Firewall configuration. Experience configuring VPNs for remote access. . Experience in backup and disaster recovery. . Safety awareness & commitment at the workplace. . Interpersonal: Capacity to develop good working relationships with superiors & work colleagues within the organization. . Problem Solving: Perform troubleshooting as required. As such, leads problem-solving efforts often involving outside vendors and other support personnel and/or organizations. Maintains network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning. . Self-Management: Able to adjust priorities in a changing work environment. Must be able to work without direct supervision. . Communication: Excellent communication skills are required to function. . Technical: Server Performance Tuning, Solid Knowledge of SQL, MS .NET, Network Performance Tuning, LAN Knowledge, and Network Design & Implementation.
