Only project managers with experience in software development and/or
infrastructure should apply. It is a requirement that the project manager
have experience in projects involving PCI/NIST security implementations
and/or audits. Any resumes not noting PCI or NIST security projects will be
deemed unqualified. This will be a highly demanding job.

 

Role Summary/Purpose:

Serves as a Project Manager responsible for the coordination of specific
development/infrastructure projects or noted activities. Plans, directs, and
coordinates one to three teams of analysts, technicians, and users engaged
in designing, building, testing, and implementing initiatives. Ensures that
projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to customer
requirements. Assists management and project stakeholders in information
technology planning related to the program. The contractor is required to
follow  project management methodology.

 

Responsible for building and managing the project/program management
office/function for IT. Defines and develops enterprise-wide IT
project/program management practices, governance standards, processes and
metrics. Ensures projects/programs are defined, tracked and communicated in
a consistent and effective manner. Incorporates effective change and risk
management controls. Partners with IT and business leadership and other key
stakeholders to define opportunities, to identify and prioritize projects
based on predefined criteria (return on investment, productivity,
compliance). Directs project/program managers with business case
development. Responsible for ensuring all projects within IT
portfolios/programs are delivered on time, within budget and to an agreed
quality level. Must possess extensive knowledge and expertise in
project/program management, portfolio management methodologies and tools.
This is a single incumbent position that typically exists in a large
enterprise with multiple program managers and/or project managers as direct
reports.

 

SKILLS REQUIRED:

Possess documented experience as a project manager over small-sized projects
($50,000 to $1,000,000). An associate degree in computer science and five
years experience in new computer systems development, network management, or
related field; or a bachelor's degree in business administration, computer
science, mathematics, statistics, management information science and five
years experience in new computer systems development, network management, or
related field. Prior experience with, and knowledge of, technical business
communications involving field personnel is preferred. Possess the ability
to deal effectively with the needs of technical peers, technical and user
management, users, vendors, and staff members, and to communicate clearly
and effectively in spoken and written form.

 

SKILLS REQUIRED:

-                      Proven record of success in managing IT project for
PCI or NIST related implementation 

-                      Experience in developing and maintaining
documentation for policies, procedures, and best practices.

-                      Able to conduct research into issues and products as
required.

-                      Ability to plan, organize, deal effectively with the
needs of technical peers, technical and user management, end users, vendors,
and staff members

-                      Must possess excellent writing, editing and
proofreading skills.

-                      Skill in writing original material and in
synthesizing, organizing, rewriting, refining, formatting, and editing
rough-draft material while maintaining the integrity of the ideas.

-                      Able to work independently and as part of a team 

-                      Flexible and easily adapts to changing priorities. 

 

Highly Preferred:             

-                      Experience in managing development or infrastructure
projects 

-                      Projects on support of web-based applications for
internal (intranet) sites and external (Internet) sites.

-                      Knowledge of software development lifecycles and
migrations from different environments, such as development, production,
etc.as it releates to projects of software development.

-                      Experience with Projects operating under PMI
methodology.

-              Industry knowledge of procurement, memorandums of
understanding, 

-              Electronic commerce security standards

-              Microsoft Office 2010

-              Microsoft Sharepoint, Microsoft Project
