Position 1:  Project Manager with GIS and Public sector experience

Location: Raleigh, NC

Duration: 12+ months

Skills Needed: 

-          10 or more years of IT project management experience

-          Working knowledge of application development in a variety of
technical platforms

-          Planning and management skills, including scope, estimating,
budgeting and resource allocation procedures

-          Proven leadership skills including team development and
leadership

-          Knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling
projects

Position 2:  GIS Expert

Location: Raleigh, NC

Duration: 12+ months

Rate: Open

 

Responsibilities: 

.         Developing structured processes and products through the building
of GIS databases; acquiring, building, or linking to spatial data as
required to support client; performing spatial analysis; providing
analytical support on various transportation, economic/demographic related
issues and application/product development. This position may perform tasks
independently, or within a team environment. 

.         Will provide the GIS team with technical expertise for geospatial
related issues such as software/hardware evaluation and testing. The
software and hardware evaluation and testing include activities to verify
functionalities and usability, to report and analyze utilization,
reliability, capacity, and performance, to research and report the known
issues and work-around procedures. Determining spatial analytical methods
(i.e. population density analysis), and determining best practices for
acquisition and maintenance of geographic datasets. 

.         Prepare and maintain proper project documentation in accordance to
organizational standards. Duties will include providing input to project
requirements, helping develop schedules, helping with meeting notes, and
generating manuals when required. Manage small or medium projects and
oversee lower level analyst or technicians for GIS process development and
coding/programming activities. 

.         Maintain an understanding of current geospatial technology in
terms of software, hardware, programming languages and GIS methods.
Knowledge is relevant to assigned duties, possible future duties, and
overall organizational functions.

.         5.All other GIS Unit related tasks as assigned.

Skills Needed: 

This position is assigned to the GIS Unit. It is an advanced analyst
specializing in GIS technology with an advanced understanding of GIS
database management, spatial analysis, population analysis, and Linear
Referencing Systems integration. Experience must include: 

 

.        Advance knowledge of GIS principals, theories, and practices

.        Proficiency with Esri suite of software products

.        Advanced knowledge of GIS database management 

.        Advanced knowledge of spatial analysis procedures

.        Advanced knowledge of GIS demographic analysis procedures

.        Knowledge of cartographic/mapping procedures

.        Proficiency with Python scripting

.        Knowledge with Esri ArcPy site-package

.        Experience with integrating and implementing complex technology
solutions

.        The ability to develop activity schedules from high level requests

.        The ability to work proficiently with very minimal daily guidance 

.        The ability to communicate efficiently in oral and written forms 

.        Demonstrated experience in working with external technology vendors

 

Position 3: GIS Analyst

Location: Raleigh, NC

Duration: 12+ months

Rate: Open

 

Major duties include: 

.        Assisting with the development of GIS analysis procedures and
products specific to site suitability analysis, routing, geocoding,
demographics, mapping, publishing,& Linear Referencing System (LRS)
integration. The tasks & activities of developing these analysis procedures
& products are: utilization of GIS software & datasets, assisting with the
gathering and development of user requirements, writing Python and SQL
scripts, performing tests, QA/QC,verifications of these procedures &
products, deploying these procedures to customers either as part of GIS
datasets, maps, desktop applications, or as services via ArcGIS
server/ArcGIS Online. This position may perform some tasks independently or
in a small team environment. 

.        With guidance from higher level GIS staff, will provide customers,

.        Knowledge of GIS site suitability analysis procedures

.        Knowledge of GIS route analysis procedures

.        Knowledge of GIS geocoding procedures

.        Knowledge of GIS demographic analysis procedures

.        Knowledge of cartographic/mapping procedures

.        Knowledge of Linear Referencing Systems data management methods

.        Proficiency with Python scripting

.        Knowledge with Esri ArcPy site-package

.        The ability to work within activity schedules from high level
requests

.        The ability to work proficiently with minimal daily guidance

Position 4: Cisco Network Engineer

Location: Raleigh, NC

Duration: 12+ months

Rate: Open

 

Skills Needed: 

.         Hands on senior experience implementing and supporting IP Address
Management software.

.         Hands on senior experience implementing and supporting current WAN
and LAN switching products and technologies for access, distribution, core
and data center solutions.

.         Senior level knowledge of TCP/IP networking, IP subnetting, and
networking technologies.

.         Senior level troubleshooting skillset related to LAN and WAN
technologies, such as data capture and analysis.

.         Ability to professionally document proposals and as-built network
solutions.

 

Preferred:

- Extensive knowledge of and experience with current Cisco LAN switching and
WAN product set.

- A minimum of 10 years experience in IT including demonstrated experience
in various technical disciplines.

- A minimum of 5 years experience with Cisco WAN & LAN switching products.

- CCNA, CCNP, CCIE

- Experience designing, implementing and supporting Avaya (formerly Nortel
Enterprise) LAN products.

- Experience designing, implementing and supporting Riverbed products.

- Experience designing, implementing and supporting Meraki products.
