Are you wanting a VBA solution?If so, have you tried recording a macro and DO it? If you're asking how to DO it:simply edit the cell, highlight the word, then  select "Bold" from the icon (or ctrl-B) If you were to record a macro for this, you'll find that VBA utilizes a  Characters()
