If till now, no body has replied then try this
Before deleting the entries, in a new cell put the comments in text.
then use '&' key eg..if ur numerical entry is in B2 and comment in F2, then in
G2 put formula "=B2&F2"

In case you have a figure which is a formula derived from some other cell
in same sheet or some other sheet in same file or some cell in some other file
altogether, then press C

I think this is possible.
Try the below steps :
1. Open your spreadsheet say A1
2. Open the first file in your folder (say X1 to X50)
3. In spreadheet A1,, in a specified cell next to the name of the file,
put a formula by typing = and go to cell T100 in file X1
