I have tried to apply Pivot Table on the Base Data but could not succeed as
the pop up message showing Data source reference is not valid.
Please help

FYI, I have a work-around. I'm mostly just trying to learn how you can
make Excel do this. It seems like it should be a normal operation. I
was surprised it wasn't the default behavior.
