*Location: **Southfield, MI (Onsite from Day 1)* *Interview: Phone & Skype* *Job Description:* *You will be performing System Safety Engineering tasks focusing on the Safety Of The Intended Functionality (SOTIF) for the concept design of Next Generation of Advance Driving Assistance Systems (ADAS) Features.* · Ensure ISO/PAS 21448 compliance by developing SOTIF design work products for collaborative driving features. · Perform hazard identification and risk evaluation based on functional & system specification and identify risk acceptance criteria · You will utilize various analysis techniques(e.g. HAZOP, FTA, FMEA, STPA) to identify functional insufficiencies at different system levels, including sensing and decision algorithms · Analyze potential triggering conditions including foreseeable misuse of the intended functionality that can lead to hazardous system behavior · You will work closely with functional safety engineers, system architects, software developers and verification engineers to ensure that the SOTIF safety concepts and requirements are aligned with the overall design strategy. · You will work in a self-guided cross-functional agile team and interface with Senior team members who will provide guidance and mentorship. *Requirements* · A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Science is required, and 5+ years of standards driven systems engineering experience. · You must have track records of successfully performing System Safety Engineering tasks for ADAS/AD features. · You must have working knowledge of relevant standards and methods such as *ISO26262, ISO 21448, UL 4600*. · You must know how to analyze system or subsystem architectures using safety analyses techniques to produce safety concepts in an unambiguous, clear and understandable way. · You must have solid knowledge of systems engineering/architecture, and know how to write good requirements that others can successfully implement, and write test cases for. · You must have experience in systems engineering tools like *Medini Analyze, CodeBeamer, SystemWeaver. * *Nice to have:* · A Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science is preferred. · Experience in partial automation (SAE L2+) safety concepts such as ODD limitation, driver engagement is a plus. · Beneficial skills and experience include SOTIF analyses experience, experience in requirements/user story development, unit testing, and vehicle validation. · Knowledge of MISRA C++ and/or other coding standards. Working knowledge with System-Theoretic Process Analysis (STPA)) is considered highly beneficial. · Experience in probabilistic modeling of traffic scenarios is considered beneficial. · Knowledge of agile process in cross-functional teams and ADAS safety concept experience is also very desirable for this role -- Are you =EXP(E:RT) or =NOT(EXP(E:RT)) in Excel?
