Location: Madison, WI Client: State of WI - ETF - Employee Trust Funds (ETF) Duration : 3 Years second round Face2Face must. *Job Description:* We have an immediate opening at the Department of Employee Trust Funds (ETF) for a Tableau Administrator/Developer within our new Business Intelligence (BI) team. ETF is a state agency that is recognized as a leader in providing public employee benefit systems. The main responsibilities of this position are to provide leadership for our Tableau implementation which involves designing, configuring and administering Tableau Server, developing visualizations using Tableau Desktop, defining standards and best practices, and mentoring a new BI team. Responsibilities, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities • Demonstrated experience with Tableau Server Infrastructure, specifically publishing and back-end administration. • Experience with developing a strategy for data usage in Tableau. • Experience with optimization, tuning, and ensuring the security of data using Tableau Server. • Familiarity with ETL tools and processes. • Experience gathering, understanding & documenting user requirements, creating specifications, designing solutions, development, testing, and implementing solutions that ensure requirements are achieved through high quality deliverables. • Proven ability to provide direction and mentoring to developers and team members on Tableau development, dashboard usability, user experience design and design best practices. • Experience with dashboard design, full life cycle management and the application of best practices including use of visual design principles. • Experience with quality assurance and developing standards to certify Tableau dashboards for production use. • Experience working with data warehouses and dimensional data models as data sources for dashboard development. • Proven ability to manage multiple, concurrent, 3 to 6-month BI dashboard design and development projects. • Experience using complex SQL with relational databases. • Experience with R and Python preferred. • Involvement in BI governance including data usage, metadata, data management, data quality, and security. • Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills, ability to influence others and to interact with individuals at all levels. • Ability to work productively with cross-functional working groups and across organizational layers. • Strong interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building. • Ability to develop and deliver presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences. • Strong knowledge and understanding of business needs with the ability to establish/maintain high level of customer trust and confidence. • Experience with Tableau v10.5 or greater desktop and server is required. • Requires a minimum of 4 years’ experience with Tableau development and administration, minimum of 6 years’ experience in visual reporting development, including hands on development of analytics dashboards and working with complex data sets.
