Exchange 2000 Servers/Site Problem

I have 2 exchange 2000 servers in a site that on one of them is queueing mail for the other site. When I force it to connect it connects for a while then will disconnect. The messages are just sticking in the queue. Any suggestions? Thanks, Andy The information contained in this electronic
