I have an Exchange 5.5 organization with one Exchange 2k server having all
mailboxes. Internet mail service is running on a 5.5 box in the DMZ. I am
seeing occasional errors 4031 with source MSExchangeIMC and category SMTP
Interface events. I am concerned the most about the following

Can an Exchange 5.5 connector (x.400) in one exchange site talk to another
connector (x.400) connector in Exchange 2K?

altogether. 5.5 would allow you to install OWA separate from the Exchange
mailbox server.

We are running Exchnage 5.5 right now with a planned upgrade to E2K before
the end of the year. I am told that in E2k environment you can not have same
active directory account associated with multiple exchange mailboxes?
Is this correct?

We just setup a new mail server and I have been moving bunch of mailboxes to
new mail server. As a result of this, the old mail server has tons of empty
space and needs to be defragged. IS this something normal to do?
