fix because we still haven't resolved it.
Since my last posting on this thread, we have tried running without the
Sophos MailMonitor anti-virus and also without the GFI MailEssentials. The

Any ideas how we can investigate this further (The events logs show no errors

We use GFI and I found version 8 to be blocking approx 13% weekdays and 28%
at weekends of our incoming mail and the new version 9 (with the intelligent
bayesian filter) blocks 23% weekdays and 62% at weekends. It does

basic authentication in IIS on the frontend server for the default web server
and the exchange section, but no joy.
If I can not get this working, then I will have to rebuild the front end
server as exchange 2000 but would obviously prefer to stay with 2003.

When we migrated from Pegasus to Outlook/Exchange 2000 (back in summer 2001)
we used a utility called UniAccess to convert data direct from Pegasus
folders to Exchange mailboxes. Seemed to work quite well.

We use Arcserve and have successfully restore Exchange files/stores after a
