Hiding mailboxes from GAL, but not containers in Address Book vie w

I need to hide a mailbox from the GAL (The root of the GAL) but need to be able to drill down into containers and still select the mailbox in the address book view. Any ideas on how to do this? If I hide from address book it hides it from GAL and any containers contained within I have
