Quick and hopefully simple question for all the Exchange Gurus out
there...
Trying to view a mailbox in Outlook that has been hidden from the GAL
under Exchange 2000... On Exchange 5.5 I used to be able to fill in the
directory name of the mailbox such as
Exchange 5.5 - SP4
W2K - SP3
I guess it's not possible to hide a mailbox and still be able to access it
by another user??
How do you handle a situation where, for example, you are replacing an
employee so you are going to have a mailbox set up to receive responses to
an advertisement. But you
John,
Create it add it to the users outlook, then hide it. User will be able to
access it but no one will 'see' it in the GAL.
Cheers
Paul

Set it up for the user first; then hide it. Or use a public folder, and
assign permissions.

I really like the public folder idea, but I should have said that the
boss needs to access the mailbox from home. I don't have OWA setup so I
need to use POP3 access.
