I would just add after starting the 'new server with live data' Directory
service you will have to run 'isinteg -patch' to update the GUID before
starting the Information Store. You can strying startibng it but it should
complain and the IS won't start until the patch is done.

If you don't know what the KM service is, odds are high you aren't using it.
I'd follow the Ed Crowley Move Server method described in the FAQ, based on
the information provided, I don't see a reason not to.
