Correct. Getting CAL's for Exchange 2010 will be fine/backward compatible

Hi all,
I'm trying to figure out which CALs I should be purchasing for my
Exchange 2003 server.
In the past, I was buying "381-03096" which is "Exchange 2007 Standard
Device CAL".
These appear to be no longer available, and I'm not sure what the
replacement would be.
I assume some flavor of Exchang
I believe that's the issue there... shows coming from 199.255.164.130 and
should be coming from 199.255.164.139 (mail.aurico.com). We have a PTR setup
for mail.aurico.com to 199.255.164.139.

According to the abovethe listserver got it from 199.255.164.130. And
there is no PTR for that IP address.

Three possibilities that I see.
One:
Your sending server is HELO'ing with webmail.aurico.com. Some places want to
see your HELO match the rDNS for the IP in the connection. AOL for example. I
call it fully circular DNS. You should HELO/EHLO mail.aurico.com from

All,
Since last week, we've had several issues with email delivery and NDRs. The
first issue started with the following NDR received when trying to email a
client:
- Client host rejected: cannot find your hostname, [199.255.164.130].
The main part of the issue was that mail.aurico.c
Can you clarlify the statement " Just consider them separately from logs and
databases"
They are currently using a hosted imap/pop3 provider I provide the offsite
backup and the device, insiginificant amount of the clients storgage is
affected. So OS/PageFile on mirror and logs / db on R10?
Well I played with my Backup Window so it would not overlap maintenance
schedule and waited a few more days and it is working now.
Thanks

I would not put the logs on the same array as the OS/pagefile. Just consider
them separately from logs and databases.
If you haven't already, make sure you using the Microsoft Exchange Mailbox
Server Role Requirements Calculator to check what you need:

No it might be outlook.contoso.com and outlook-dr.contoso.com but in the event
of a disaster you update outlook.contoso.com to the same IP as
outlook-dr.contoso.com. But normally it only resolves to it's normal site.

Richard is pretty much right on both counts.
However you ask the question at an opportune time as Exchange 2010 SP2 UR3 has
been released, which includes the fix (or new feature) which is useful in this
situation. The following article by Ross Smith IV talks more about this
including the before
No, once the mail profile has the name of a CAS array, it won't get updated if
you change the RPCClientAccessServer property on the database.
What I think most people do is have a short TTL on the DNS for their CAS Array

Hi,
The databases are all on one mailbox server in an active passive setup and in
my primary site they point to a cass array. In the passive site I can create an
array like your article suggests but I am thinking the users will still need to
