I do two things
1. Brick level (full) backup every single night - there is a LONG list
of reasons for this at my company - don't ask :-) - That's on tape LTO4
2. I also use CA (formerly XOSoft) WANSyncHA and do a live time
replication of my MASTER sever to my REPLICA server out at my DR site.
