I don't think you will get the notification out of your server room. You
need EXTERNAL monitoring. This will not tell you everything is down. But you
will figure that out when you check out why you SMTP server or your Web server
, or your VPN server isn't responding...

When Synchronizing offline folders I get an error Task Microsoft Exchange
Server reported error (0x80004005): the operation failed
Both of these features work from Outlook 97 clients.
Has anyone else encountered this? There is no evidence of a problem in the
server logs.
