I think - You're essentially being told of a under-performing disk sub-system.
Just because they're virtual doesn't mean they don't have virtual hardware to

I am getting these errors on my combined CAS/HUBs for Exchange 2010 SP1 RU3.
They are on VMWare virtuals so I am puzzled how this error can be occurring.
The Hardware folks are telling me to ignore them. Thoughts?
