Title: Strange Outlook behaviour

Our infrastructure = Exchange 5.5, SP4, NT4 SP6a, TCPIP.
Client = OL2002 with August 16th update using HTML format

Don't laugh, but has anybody come across an anomaly where part of the text of a message has changed colour by the time it reaches the recipient?  It has also reported that recipients have observed characters that move i.e. the first character of a word will be tagged on to the previous character. I'd be grateful for any pointers.
