I configured my remote printer (WINNT-samba) using 'control-panel' and its
work in X-windows and KDE.
but when itry to print somefile form command line :
lpr -Plp0 xxx.txt
The printer will print but the line looks very funny. It only will print
the first line ..
So, any idea ?

the latest release of mandrake has some serious issues ... the auto detect
of hardware in the setup (scsi & network) doesn't work as well as the last
distribution (actually it barely works at all) and when you select the
driver and try to autoprobe it say sorry to bad you're out of luck

Two things have been giving me hard time lately, one of which is pop3
service, I'm not sure if a pop3 service is included in inetd i see a pop3
service list in the inetd config file but for the life of me i can not

I had the same problems myself. When I do "ps" I get a "D" status.
Impossible to kill -9, even when going init 1, they don't get killed.
Killing the parent process doesn't work...

Mandrake 6 has the imap-4.5-5mdk package.
Also, imap is not installed by default. And even if you install the imap
package, pop2 is commented out in /etc/inetd.conf.
