Hi,
Is it possible, and if so how, to have my Win95 act as my printer server for
my Linux box? I cant get MK 8 to print and have gone to the darkside to print
and it is becoming a real pain to work in Win all the time or ftp files over
for printing.
TIA

Hi,
I am in the process of building a small scall news server. I am studying INN
at the moment. Can anyone give me some pointers? Things I am wondering about
are news feeds. Where are they, and who runs them? Fees involved, etc. Also
wondering if INN is the way to go, or is the another one to
I got it fixed, and now have boot win95 and MK 7.2 on my laptop and bootable
fm the HDD. I have to use Ontrack and delete it, but that was not very clear
how to or what to delete. Under the advanced options, I found remove Dyanmic
Overlay. Then I formated the HDD, installed win95 then MK. Work
Thanks, I have been waiting for this.

Problems persist. I think I have the symbolic links right, but when I start
printtool it does not see my printer, when I try detect I get this error

that the gnulpr printfilters package is

I have reinstalled MK 7.2 at least 8 times, because disk drake could not see
my partitons, On track was the only way I could figure out to get access to
the disk. I did tr fdisk too.
Guess I will live with booting fm a floppy.

cant find it in MK 8. Does any remember the name and if there is a MK 8
version of it?

Go to http://.mandrakestore.com
It had a GUI interface with that goofy aardvark or whatever the gnome critter
is on it. Pretty slick, very intuitive (I never read a thing to get it
working). You could select the drill down levels and all kinds of neat stuff.

I am running ReiserFS on my main SCSI HDD (using a IDE partition for boot,
ReisterFS as well). Even with a dirty shutdown, it bounces right back, only
my wintendo FAT32 has problems after a power outage. Never had to do a fsck
or anything, just comes right up.

drjung,
I did lsattr on my ReiserFS and got the following msg:
lsattr: Inappropriate ioctl for device While reading flags on fw4_01.pdf
So I would gather, ReiserFS does not do what you want.

Last night we installed Mandrake 8.0 on a friend's computer. He does
not have a CDROM drive, but he does have a cable modem, so we tried
the network install. That is, we booted from a network.img floppy and
went through the whole program. It mostly worked, but we had a few

Hi,
I recently installed JBuilder included with Mandrake 8.0 but it keeps asking
for a Serial Number and Key. Is one included with Mandrake. I would like to
try before I buy.

My online bankings has a statement that says NS changed their SSL protocol
for NS 6.0 and it it not compliant with the standard. If you could fool your
bank it may not work anyway. You could use Squid, and set it up to make
anyone believe anything.
