I had this problem too. The only solution I found was to check the "disable
local dns's" button in the kppp setup. This worked imediately.

I have linux mandrake 6.0 setup as a file and mail server. I would like to
set up another Linux machine as a modem server connect to my isp -- allowing
the win95 cients to surf the web. Can somebody point me in the right
direction?
