I want to run nautilus which requires the absolute latest gnome stuff. Has
anyone installed helix (ximian) gnome on a 7.2 box? I tried but the
installed crapped out (seg fault).

I tried to use gnorpm to remove a package and it left many traces if it
laying around including it's menu item. Is command line rpm any better or
will this happen with that as well.

This was the problem. My home directory is NFS mounted. Is there a way to
edit the menu entry for MandrakeUpdate to make it change directories before
it runs?

Has anyone managed to get Mandrake Update to work? Whenever I try,
I get "Cannot retrieve the list of packages to update...Try with another
mirror". I ftp'ed over to some of the mirrors and they're up.
Any ideas?
