[expert] updating gnome...

I want to run nautilus which requires the absolute latest gnome stuff. Has anyone installed helix (ximian) gnome on a 7.2 box? I tried but the installed crapped out (seg fault). Darren

I tried to use gnorpm to remove a package and it left many traces if it laying around including it's menu item. Is command line rpm any better or will this happen with that as well. Darren

[expert] 7.2 Mandrake Update problem

Has anyone managed to get Mandrake Update to work? Whenever I try, I get "Cannot retrieve the list of packages to update...Try with another mirror". I ftp'ed over to some of the mirrors and they're up. Any ideas? Darren
