All of a sudden any attempt run install something with rpm causes rpm to
eat
all the ram and swap until the system dies
rpm -i -vv has it handing at:
D: opening database mode 0x42 in /var/lib/rpm
D: found 0 source and 1 binary packages
D: requires: m68k-pic-coff-binutils satisfied by db
I'm running 7.0 on several systems. I've got a Pentium III 700 with an
Intel 82558
ethernet controller. The EEPRO100 driver comes up with it fine and
ftp/telnet
etc are all ok. But when I nfs mount a volume on this system from a
server and
then copy a file from the nfs server to the system, I
I'm sure I've forgotten to do something trivial and stupid...
loading a driver with insmod, it is complaining about every kernel
symbol.
such as...
./acq64.o: unresolved symbol pci_write_config_dword
./acq64.o: unresolved symbol pci_find_device
./acq64.o: unresolved symbol mem_map
./acq64.o:

Can you upgrade to Mandrake 6.1 directly from RH 6.0? or do I have to do a full
install?
