Completly off-topic, but why are you not using the function of S.A.N.E. to
network that scanner so that users can access it via the network and save
to their local machine?

You don't have to run Linux to access a S.A.N.E. networked scanner. There
are windows clients :)

They would have access to the scanner. The only access they would have to
the server is a connection via the client to control the scanner.

What else do I need to do to get the frontpage extension working?
Please read the following before you install frontpage extensions on a
unix/linux server. There are some pretty serious security concerns.

that environment variable.
ssh should export your display automagicly. However, if you are su'd as a
diffrent user than you originally ssh'd as, you may have to execute a
'xhost +' to get control of the display. --Warning-- 'xhost +' is not
very secure.

Also, the ssh client for windbloze is $2000, telnet is free.
So, if your company, who should know better is still kissing Bill's ass,
that
is the way to get to the Linux box from thier woofully under utilized

burdened) system.
Free:

Hum, I can't think of any legitimate uses for telnet that ssh can not
do.

Yes, you need to use the driver suppied by Matrox. As far as the
XFree86 Config, your doing it the hard way...go to matrox's site and
grab the mgadesk utility. Its a nice gtk app that will configure your
machine for dualhead.

Since I'm not sure who to report this too, someone please let me know.
