Unsuccessfully tried to run samba with security = user and passwords taken
from UNIX passwords.
Then downloaded SRPM and did not find --with-pam configure option here.
After
I added it and tried to run rpm -bb SPECS/samba.spec compiler went BOOM.
What and where to fix?

I'm doing server install. Without X. Well I know that Mandrake is not the
best
choice for that but I do not want to use too m
What console tool could be used to watch processes distribution on CPUs?
Default ps/top from procps package do not show such information.

I have problems while running Mandrake pgcc compiled quake2 mod. If I use
default options from id Makefile quake2 server segmentation faults on
startup. If I remove all optimisations - it segfaults after client connect.
strace log shows nothing suspicious. How could I try to resolve this

Very slightly better, but still a bit slower that -m486 -
Just numbers. Linux - Mandrake 6.0, gcc - pgcc, CPU - Celeron 450A.
And to provide more mess - '-m486 -O6' showed even slightly more
better results :).

How Mandrake updates are organized? Now I see that some of RedHat
updates are merged into Mandrake distribution, some added to Mandrake
updates directory.
But ir still lacks many of RedHat security updates (lsof, minicom, etc)
but adds 7MB wine-debug (what thats for in updates?).

net-tools-1.50-1.i386.rpm - 107522 bytes.
First one is from update.redhat.com, second from Mandrake updates.
Why there's such difference? Aren't we missing something? :)
