Actually, kcalc is part of the kdeutils package. The reason it shows up in
i18n in a search is because the translated documents (not the program itself)
are part of i18n.

not positive, but I believe in order to change the permissions on a home
directory you have to change the default umask. Try adding the following to
the /etc/security/msec/level.local file:
