If you are using Mandrake, you should be able to edit the file
/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-ppp0
and replace the line that says
ONBOOT=no
...with..

Ummm, no, but linuxconf has a checkbox in its ppp setup that will do
that--just ignore kppp

You do... setup you ppp with netcfg and enable "on boot" and "reconnect"
