A problemette with 3.0.0 that remains in 3.0.1 is that KDE Control Centre applications which are supposed to add an item to the Control Centre ... don't. The two I've come across so far are: Mosfet's Liquid Theme 0.9.5 (http://www.mosfet.org/liquid.html) - supposedly adds to Look & Feel; kgamma 0.9.1 (http://www.vonostheim.de/kgamma/index2.html) - supposed adds to System. Any ideas? Actually building the application works OK as far as I can see, but even restarting KDE doesn't put the icon in the Control Centre.
