Hello,

I am using Mandrake 8.1 with the default RPM, setup-2.2.0-12mdk,
installed providing /etc/services. The changelog on the RPM in the
cooker
suggests that the /etc/services file has probably not changed in 8.2

Below is are extracts from the start of the file:

                  0/tcp    Reserved
                  0/udp    Reserved
#                          Jon Postel <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
tcpmux 1/tcp TCP Port Service Multiplexer
tcpmux 1/udp TCP Port Service Multiplexer
#                          Mark Lottor <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
compressnet       2/tcp    Management Utility
compressnet       2/udp    Management Utility
echo              7/tcp    Echo
echo              7/udp    Echo
#                          Jon Postel <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

The service name aliases are being mixed with the service description
comments in the third column.

This results in the following:

$ telnet localhost TCP
Trying 127.0.0.1...
telnet: Unable to connect to remote host: Connection refused

$ telnet localhost Management
Trying 127.0.0.1...
telnet: Unable to connect to remote host: Connection refused

whereas these should generate the following error:
Management: bad port number

Is there an updated rpm that fixes this problem?
