I finally got evolution installed. I had to uninstall perl-gtkhtml, go out
to rpmfind.net and download bonobo 3.0, oaf 0.6.1 and gtkhtml 0.8. After I
installed them I was able to use helix-update connect to an evolution mirror
and let it install. Evolution starts up, I was even able to send and
retrieve test emails. If I log in under my user account, using kdm I get a
desktop crash that informs me a gnome complient windows manager is not
running. I check my configuration setting, sawfish is my choosen window
manager. When I try to configure sawfish, I am told it is not running. Now
for the kicker, if I log in as root, all is well. If I log in another user
all is well. I go back to my account under kde all works. It is only when I
log in as myself under helix-gnome. Interesting thing is the menu structures
under user2 and root match, but under gnome I have a different menu
structure. Including a Redhat entry in the menu tree. I never had redhat
installed on this pc.

Problem number 2 seems to be with the evolution conduits for syncing to a
handheld. I have my visor working with jpilot and configured for gnome-pilot
applet, The evolution conduits show up on the menus, but when it opens up
the pilot-link conduits under gnome configuration there are no evolution
coduits there.

Any thoughts?
