Hi Is there known "bug" in installation procedure,now second machine, where I couldn't get installation working with pci-pcmcia adapter and orinoco silwer card... Computers quite similar...amd xp 1700+ 512 MB 40G hd and amd duron 800 512 MB 40G hd..
When starting installation,in pcmcia search state I can hear my card to be found (two beeps).But that's all...Installation hangs there.. All what I could do was take card and adapter away,then mdk installation worked suberb. Reinstalled adapter and card,but could'nt get them working with mdk's kernel. Loaded kernel 2.4.18 from kernel org and installed separately pcmcia-cs as well drivers for card got system working... This is strange,because seen mandrake installation working with 4 laptops with wlan card. This message is for information,not for whining... Regards Jarmo
