For those of you who've braved the upgrade, I've found the following changes help keep things humming along on my system... Don't use the Mega-Gradient scheme. While the bugginess in it disappeared in Cooker, for some reason it's back in the Mdk8 version of KDE 2.2. Turn off realtime priority for the Arts server. While you're in there, disable the suspend after 60 seconds. I have a beefy (800MHz/256MB) system and the restart time for the sound server was noticeable when after reading down a website, I'd middle click some link to a related item and it would go to play the "open window" sound, followed closely by the maximize sound.
