[expert] KFM: Too Many Thumbnails Causing KDE Crash

Thumbnails in KFM:
Perhaps I have too many files in one folder for KFM to make thumbnails.  It tries and 
then KDE crashes completely.  Is this a known
bug?  And, is there a fix?
