Hello,

I must have fallen off the turnip truck. Sometime back in the summer
during 8.1 devel cycle, I noticed that when rpm called update-menus in
postrun scripts, that update-menus threw up a bunch of stuff all over
the screen related to mimetypes and so forth. I at first figured it was
just a temporary bug, then when it persisted I guessed that it was to
feed some kind of information to some GUI tool that I don't and won't
use.

Fine and dandy, but does anyone have any idea how I can turn this
annoying glop off without killing the other useful rpm feedback?
