If it is a feature then it has been implemented the worst way possible.
I invite you to look at Netscape.ad that implements the features you
put in and more without sacrificing anything. I have been using it
for months without any problems.

What I have done was once it was installed (netscape that is). I removed
it and downloaded a copy from Netscape and the problem was gone.
