Just completed the install of 8.1. After wiping the disk and doing it clean, I was pleasantly suprised to find that everything worked right from the start: CDRW, sound, and printer! Especially the printer, which hadn't worked properly in a while.
All in all, a very nice install procedure. The NTP section was a nice touch, and a few others I can't think of off-hand.
