In Mandrake distribution 7.1, the KDE panel menu seems to have a problem. The regular "menu editor" (Kmenu>Configuration>Other>Menu editor) is present and works fine. But, the menu editor to edit the Panel menus (Kmenu>Panel<Menu Editor) does not start. (says it is not installed?). This is a different menu editor than the one under Kmenu>Configuration>Other>Menu editor. It is, I believe, for editing the bottom 4 items that appear on the Kmenu. I noticed this when I changed the panel options so that my personal menu entries come first (are on top of the default menu). The submenu that used to be entitled "Personal" became a blank one that leads to the default Kmenu. That is correct except that I would like to change this no-title sub-menu button into something called "default Menus" or similar and the menu editor is not available to do it with. So I need to go to the cli. :-) (real linux!!) What is the file that I would have to edit to accomplish this? Thanks. -- Jeff Malka <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Registered Linux Newbie 348854
