Well, I looked closer and tried the password option on the option for
the old kernel.
It worked like a charm! :)

I checked into the man page. it is *almost* what I want. However, the
man page says this about the password option:
A password is only required to boot the image if parameters are
specified on the command line (e.g. 'single').
