I've got the weirdest problem.

Here's the setup:

<internet>===[dsl]===[ethernetcard1-windowsMachine-ethernetcard2]===[linuxdialinserver]---[pppclient]

Or, in english:

There is a windows machine, with some kind of firwall running on it,
that has 2 ethernet cards. One is connected to the internet via dsl,
the other serves the linux dialin server (and a few other machines).

The pppclient can see the internet just fine.

EXCEPT for the IP address of 'ethernetcard1' - I cannot see it at all!

When I traceroute from 'linuxdialinserver' to 'ethernetcard1' I get
a single, immediate answer FROM 'ethernetcard1', but my arp table
ONLY has ethernetcard2's arp info.

(IF it matters for THIS part of the discussion, all the above
ethernet cards plug into the same hub - we'll skip the security
problems with that idea!)

At one time, I was able to get it to work by some minor magic,
but that was like 2 years ago and I've forgotten the magic
incantation I used (and I'm unable to figure it out any more).

Anybody have a clue?  Thanks!
