For someone who is concerned somewhat about security, how would I change
that reference to /tmp or something else that would keep this from
happening?

found an err pertaining to trying to access /root/tmp. So I changed
permissions on the /root
I am receiving the same error, The smb.conf file that I originally had
when running 7.2 had no problems, but now, in 8.0, I see nothing but
problems...
I had to scrap that file, and create a new one with a few extra options,
and I still get that error when attempting to connect with Win98, winNT
I've got a Mandrake 8.0 box set up and I'm trying to access it from a
Windows 2000 box SP1 box (not I've also tried from Windows 98 SE). I've set
the Samba box up as a member of the Mdkgroup workgroup and set up the
Win2000 box as the same. When I double click on Computers near me in My
Network
