Well, I did manage to correct my mistake with fstab yesterday.
However, I did end up reinstalling due to some strange behavior.
I have two partitions / and /home. Install went really the
smoothest I have done for 7.1 at all. Should have know
better though, as now I have strange supermount (suspect) problems
All my drives (2 HD, CDRW, ZIP, Floppy) were working
great, I opened a KFM window from the cdrom icon
closed it, inserted another CD, pressed the icon, and
POOF! now it complains that /dev/scd0 isnt found in
/etc/fstab or /etc/mtab.
It never was! I had just finished installing, and now I lost
it again.
P.S. This is basically where I was when I started having fstab probs yesterday.
The reinstall was a clean install, formatted everything but /home. and this problem
happens with /root too.
Any help appreciated, this is driving me crazy now.
