Hello.
Does anyone know what is *exactly* the maximum size of a swap partition on an
i386 platform? Some howtos say it is about 2 GiB, but I need to know the
exact number of hd blocks as to optimize the space used on hard disks.
And how many swap partitions can I have?
Thanks.

What are everyones opinions on the the swap issue? like If i have a 1GB
swap partiion does it get fragmented? How does this get affected by the
new VM in 24 kernels?
Does a larger swap file require more management and thus slows down a
system if it is bigger than necessary?

I coulda sworn the output from 'mount' used to result in a list that
included HD swap partition(s), but now in 8.1 it doesn't. When did this
change? 'free' shows the designated space is available.
